9Characteristics of Soil– Describe soil texture, structure, color, and porosity

Second Term

6Uses of Farm Animals– State importance of animals for meat, milk, eggs, labor, and income
7Feeding Farm Animals– Identify feed types: roughages, concentrates- Define ration
8Water and its Uses in Agriculture– Explain the sources of water- State how water is used in farming
9Classification of Crops– Group crops into food, cash, medicinal, ornamental, industrial crops
10Crop Plants: Meaning and Examples– Define crops- Provide examples of different crop groups
11Revision– Review all topics taught during the term
12Examination– Conduct assessment on all second term work

Third Term

5Simple Farm Tools– Identify tools: cutlass, hoe, rake, shovel, watering can, etc.- Describe their uses
6Maintenance of Simple Farm Tools– State ways to clean, store and maintain tools to extend lifespan
7Cultural Practices in Crop Production– Define cultural practices- List activities: weeding, thinning, mulching, pruning, etc.
8Harvesting of Crops– Define harvesting- Describe methods and tools used
9Storage of Crops– List methods of storage: traditional and modern- Explain how to store different crops
10Preservation of Crops– Describe methods: drying, smoking, refrigeration, canning, etc.
11Revision– Review of entire third term topics
12Examination– Final term assessment
