According to NERDC / National Education Board here is the English Language Scheme of Work Jss 3 that teachers should use to organized a well planned lesson note for the learners. This scheme of work is grouped into three terms(first, second and third term).

First Term

Week 7Speech Work: Stress in Polysyllabic WordsLearners recognize and use correct stress patterns in long words.
Week 8Grammar: Tenses (Past, Present, Future)Pupils use correct verb tenses to express time in both spoken and written English.
Week 9Comprehension: Reading to Draw ConclusionsStudents infer meanings and draw conclusions from passages.
Week 10Continuous Writing: Descriptive EssayLearners describe a person, object, or place in vivid detail using sensory language.
Week 11Vocabulary: Words Associated with Culture and ReligionStudents learn new words and apply them in context.
