Here is the basic Three scheme of work for primary schools. This scheme of work covers from first term to third term.

First Term Scheme of Work

Week 1: Revision/Resumption Test

Topic: Counting and Writing Whole Numbers up to 600

Learning Objectives:

Count and write numbers from 1 to 600.

Understand place value (units, tens, hundreds).

Skip count in 3s, 4s, 5s, and 10s.

Teacher Activities:

Lead class counting exercises.

Use number charts and songs to reinforce counting.

Assign writing tasks for numbers 1–600.

Learning Objectives:

Addition Using Partial Sums Method.

Understand and apply the partial sums method.

Weeks 10–11: Subtraction of Whole Numbers

Subtraction without Borrowing.

Week 12: Assessment
